About Dr. Jessica Weatherford
Leadership coaching and advisory for founders, CEOs, and executive teams navigating growth.
Dr. Jessica Weatherford helps founder-CEOs, senior executives, and leadership teams improve how they think, lead, and execute as the business becomes more complex.
Her work sits at an uncommon intersection: business operating experience, clinical psychology, and leadership performance. Before becoming a Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Weatherford served as CFO of a 200-person company and earned an MBA in Finance.
Today, she combines best practices from business, psychology and cognitive science to help leaders strengthen the patterns that determine how well a business performs at scale: judgment, communication, delegation, accountability, and follow-through.
Weatherford Consulting is built for leaders who have already created momentum and are ready to lead the next stage with more clarity, leverage, and precision.
Why I Started
Weatherford Consulting
I kept seeing the same problem from different angles.
Inside businesses, I saw smart leaders with strong strategies throttled by friction as the business grew beyond the leadership habits that had helped it succeed. This showed up again and again as delayed decisions, unclear ownership, emotional reactivity, avoided conversations, repeated meetings without clear action items, or too many decisions waiting for CEO approval. Over time, I recognized a clear pattern: when leadership does not evolve with the success of the business, momentum slows.
Inside clinical psychology, I saw the other side of the same issue: how much performance depends on the way people think under pressure, respond to uncertainty, manage emotion, and change behavior over time.
Those two worlds are usually treated separately, Weatherford Consulting exists to unlock the impact of bringing expertise in business and psychology together.
The Leadership Patterns Behind Business Growth
Successful initial growth requires proven strategy, stronger systems, and capable people. Long-term growth, however, demands leadership patterns that can drive performance even as complexity rises.
Successful initial growth requires proven strategy, stronger systems, and capable people. Long-term growth, however, demands leadership patterns that can drive performance even as complexity rises.
The problem is often under the radar
It lives in how decisions are made under pressure, how clearly priorities are communicated, how standards are maintained across teams, how uncertainty is tolerated, and how conflict is handled. Over time, these patterns determine whether the business leads from strategy or stays caught in reaction.
Dr. Weatherford helps leaders identify the patterns creating friction, then build the habits, systems, and operating rhythms that allow the business to move with more clarity, ownership, and momentum.
Who This Is For
When leadership improves at this level, business becomes easier to run
Decisions move faster. Ownership becomes clearer. Priorities travel through the organization with less friction. Leaders spend less time re-litigating, rescuing, or carrying work that should move through the team.
You should see:
Some advisors understand the business but miss the human patterns driving the problem.
Some coaches understand leadership language but do not have deep training in how cognition, emotion, behavior, and change actually work.
Some clinical professionals understand people but do not understand the pressure of running a company, protecting momentum, and making decisions that affect payroll, valuation, culture, and growth.
Dr. Weatherford brings those worlds together.
Her work combines business expertise, psychology, and cognitive science to address the leadership patterns that shape performance under pressure: how leaders think, communicate, make decisions, manage complexity, create accountability, and move priorities forward.
She understands the business consequences of unclear accountability, slow decisions, missed handoffs, and leadership over-involvement. She also understands what makes people change, what makes them resist change, and what happens to judgment, communication, and behavior under pressure.
Through a focused, active, and direct approach, Dr. Weatherford helps leaders turn insight into practical changes in how they lead, decide, and execute.
